Week 3 - Pre Production Beings!

So I haven't posted much yet as I'm still working on my animation project, but I will say that I'm really glad so far as to what I've done for my Concepts!

Though they are still early phase, they are close to final designs and I just need to fix them up tonight.

Here are some of the my concepts for my characters:

Carl - Main Protagonist

This is actually my first time in years making a Male character as I usually speciallize in Female characters and he didn't turn out so bad. I was inspired a lot by Aaron Mitchell from Mitchells Vs the Machines and it's also inspired how I'll be designing my textures for the Animation.

Carl's Mom - Alma - 2nd Character

Alma is the Mother to Carl, and her design is complete as of yet but I did want to aim for that motherly look from Pixar and other Cartoon's design with the wider hips and her hair I wanted to be different from the usual Mom hair.

Red the Rat - Carl's Undead Pet - 3rd Character

I was kind of struggling with how I'd design this lil guy and then I remembered the basic rat designs they had in Invader Zim and many older Newgrounds Animations and decided to base him off of those ideas whilst giving him some realistic anatomy.

I will be updating this later with Background Concepts as well as Finalized Designs which I might post online as a main post.
